After six years of meticulous construction, the Salt Official Tide Music City has risen from the ground, with a grand architectural scale of about 1.2 million square meters, carrying a profound cultural heritage. Adhering to the concept of “taking music as the soul and digging deep into the ancient city’s heritage for thousands of years”, it deeply blends trendy culture with music culture. The Chaocheng Art Center, as the finishing touch of the Chaole City, gathers cutting-edge sound, light, and electricity technologies, with a total construction area of 28460 square meters. The Grand View Hall has 2752 seats and is one of the world’s largest professional super large indoor theaters. In terms of stage form, T-shaped stage, central stage, etc. can be expanded to carry a more diverse range of activities, which can meet the needs of various cultural performances in different scenarios.
Given the enormous space of the Chaocheng Art Center, in order to ensure sufficient sound pressure level and uniform coverage, the pre installed conventional sound reinforcement system uses 5 sets of EAW KF810P dual 10 inch three-way line array speakers, with 12 speakers per set. Behind each group of main amplifiers, three EAW SB818P single 18 inch ultra-low speakers are equipped to provide low-frequency extension. In addition, two sets of dual 21 inch ultra-low speakers EAW SB2001 were placed on both sides of the venue, with six speakers in each set.
24 EAW MK8196i and 16 MW15 speakers were used for lip filling and stage flow feedback, respectively. In conventional amplification mode, these speakers can provide clear and abundant sound for the entire audience as well as musicians and actors on stage.
In addition to conventional sound reinforcement methods, the venue also uses two sets of Astro Spatial Audio core processors from the Netherlands, each of which includes an immersive sound processing module, an electronic variable acoustic environment processing module, and an electronic anti sound hood processing module, further enriching the diversity of performance forms.
In addition, the French multimedia control server Modula Pi was also selected, which integrates functions such as video stitching, fusion, irregular projection surface correction, particle special effects generation, tracking, and control. It is a fully functional multimedia creative tool. To achieve tracking function, optical tracking cameras have been installed in the stage area, providing more possibilities for multimedia interaction in the program. The Modulus Pi media server can also send control commands to the mixing console and immersive sound server. Users only need to use pre programmed control programs to easily synchronize the switching between the mixing console scene and the immersive sound server project, and combine different playback sources to achieve various live demonstrations of demos.
